CIPT in collaboration with InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG) has undertaken an action learning project to kick-start the IHG Group along their journey of water stewardship in India. The project will use the framework of the credible, globally-applicable AWS Water Stewardship Standard to help IHG to understand their own water use and impacts and work collaboratively and transparently with other stakeholders including communities, government and other companies in the catchment. The project will mainly focus on building community as local water steward. The objective of the project is to develop a water stewardship strategy for IHG group in India by understanding shared water risks and opportunities and robust stakeholder engagement programmes.
